If you want to try something new with Black Wheat, make crackers to go with your tea. 

Ingredients for Black Wheat Crackers:

  • 1 cup flour (black wheat)
  • 1 tablespoon flax seed powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Combine all of the ingredients and knead into a soft dough.
  • Make small, thin-crust rotis (chapattis).
  • Make crackers in any shape you want.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the crackers for 10-12 minutes.
  • After they’ve cooled down, enjoy the snack. They should be kept in an airtight container.

Black wheat may be present in the All-Grain American Wheat Beer. This recipe calls for Black Wheat Malt, Chocolate, Caramel, CaraAroma, Black Malt, Fermentis Safbrew, and Homebrew Yeast.

The crepe recipe yields 15 crepes. 15 minutes to prepare Ingredients

  • three large eggs
  • 2 34 cup water
  • black wheat flour (28 g)
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • a pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter for cooking

Method

  • 3 eggs should be beaten in a bowl.
  • Pour the oil into the water.
  • Alternately add water, oil, and flour to the eggs. Continue to stir.
  • Blend in the salt until smooth.
  • Refrigerate this bowl for 3 hours, covered with foil.
  • Grease a frying pan or crepe pan.
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter melted, pour batter evenly Cook for about 2 minutes, or until golden brown, after spreading the batter in a circular motion. Cook for 2 minutes on the other side. 
  • Serve with ice cream and/or maple syrup if desired.
